Working remotely; Meeting your needs.

Photo of KCNF entrance with the doors closedAs the pandemic persists, KCNF has decided that the best way for our staff to remain safe is by continuing to work remotely. Although our physical office is closed at least through Labor Day, we continue to operate seamlessly.

How this works for you.

To meet your needs, all attorneys have complete access to client files and legal libraries. Our administrative staff remain fully employed and, though our office is closed, one staff member is visiting the office each day to handle mail, deliveries, and other on-site needs.

Agencies and courts are conducting appearances remotely due to COVID. Our attorneys have full access from home just as they would in the office. With video communications platforms, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, and FaceTime, we are available to participate in “face-to-face” meetings if you prefer.

Even in these unprecedented times, we do make exceptions. I recently had a multi-day EEOC hearing. Typically, I would have participated from home. But, in this case, it was important for my client and me to be together for the hearing. To make this work, she and I engaged in a frank conversation about each of our safety protocols, such that we were comfortable and able to make this work safely. We met and participated in the hearing together in the firm’s sanitized conference room. Wearing masks (though not during the hearing), we arranged the conference room to enable us to be a sufficient distance from each other, and we used the large video screen on the wall as our monitor for the Teams hearing. (And, I am pleased to report, that one week later the Judge issued a decision in my client’s favor.)

What about paying for legal services?

Again, thanks to technology, you are able to receive and sign our Retainer Agreements via a secure document signing portal. To pay your account, use the secure link on our website. The same applies if you are replenishing your escrow account.

Our lines of communication are always open.

We communicate regularly by phone and by video both one-on-one and in regular meetings. And, though we miss having direct interactions with each other, this fulfills the need to stay connected. It also ensures that your case is receiving the attention it needs, and you get the level of service you deserve.

We remain steadfast in our unwavering dedication to our clients. If you have any questions about how our operations may impact you, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at 202-331-9260.
