Sacred B. Huff to Speak at the Upcoming NELA Annual Convention

KCNF attorney Sacred B. Huff will be participating in two panel discussions at the upcoming National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) Annual Convention in Philadelphia.

On June 26 at 4 p.m. ET, Sacred will be participating in the “NELA Law Students & New Lawyers Program.” The interactive discussion will focus on how a career in plaintiff-side employment law offers a unique and meaningful way for new lawyers to use their skills to drive progressive social change. Sacred will be joined by other experienced employment law practitioners to discuss their work as advocates for workers’ rights and how it intersects with and advances other social justice issues including civil rights, immigration, environmental justice, LGBTQIA rights and gender equality. The panelists also will address how to enter the plaintiffs’ employment law field and what skills and experience can help law students be successful advocates as they begin their legal careers.

On June 28 at 4:30 p.m. ET, Sacred will speak as part of the panel “Representing Federal Sector Employees 101.” In this program, attendees will learn how they can expand their practices by adding federal sector cases. Sacred and the other panelists will guide attendees through the most important basics of tackling a federal sector case and provide strategies on how to succeed at every stage.
