Harvard Business Review’s Women at Work Podcast Highlights

The Harvard Business Review podcast Women at Work recently featured employees celebrating their bosses whose management styles have stood out during the pandemic. The episode “Leaders to Learn From” highlighted Elaine L. Fitch, managing partner of Kalijarvi, Chuzi, Newman & Fitch (KCNF DC), for her compassionate and respectful leadership style.

Associates Aaron Herreras Szot and Sarah Martin spoke about how the flexibility Elaine gave her employees on when to return to the office or to full-time work was one less anxiety they had to manage during such an uncertain time, noting that Elaine understands that each employee is a whole person with a life outside of the office and works to find solutions for each individual and their circumstances.

“We support each other and have each other’s back. I’m willing to be as flexible as possible and be honest with people. Let’s try to make this work and if it doesn’t, then we’ll discuss it. But that hasn’t really happened,” said Elaine.

Aaron commented that “The age-old question is ‘Can women really have it all?’ I think Elaine has made it clear that, at KCNF at least, we can.”
